About Us

XR&T was founded in 1992 by Mr. Javier Valenzuela in Lima, Peru. Prior to this Mr. Valenzuela owned and operated a scrapyard in the city of Lima and throughout Peru for several years. His focus eventually shifted to exporting, and trading, leading to the inception and main goal of XR&T.

Over the years the company has grown and achieved many milestones. In the early 2000’s XR&T was the largest exporter of Non-Ferrous metals in Peru. From 2011-2013 XR&T was the largest containerized ferrous exporter to China from Perú. For the past several years, we have been one of the leading exporters of Lead scrap from Peru and Colombia.
